• Hello!

I really like the simple social icons and haven’t had many issues with them, except this one:

When I refresh or reload my page and the screen goes white for a second, sometimes the icons in my header show up as squares with bullets next to them and they’re on the opposite side of where I have them placed on the page. I would really like to figure out a way to remove these squares, but so far the only way I’ve figured out how to do that is simply by removing the icons altogether.

    Here’s my site: https://beta.downtownart.org/

Thanks in advance for your help!
    Tina

  • Hi Tina,

This is from a cross-domain access issue. On your link, if you right+click and go to inspect or inspect element in your browser, then click on Console you’ll see errors preventing the access to the icons from downtownart.org to beta.downtownart.org. You’ll need to change the access to the downtownart.org domain using a script on the server side. You can refer to this link for more info:

    Hi Tina!
Have you managed to solve the “squares” problem? I’m having a similar problem, but only on my home page.
