When I open a post my formatting is a mess

    This same thing happened to me a couple of weeks ago after I updated to the latest version of WP. I was told that I had errors in my theme so I bought a new one. Now it’s happening again. I can’t keep buying themes every few weeks so does anyone have any idea what this is happening?     My site looked normal yesterday but I did make some changes. I did update a couple of plugins yesterday but my site was working fine after those updates and I also installed a new header image and my site was fine after that, too. I have since deleted the header image but it’s still messed up.

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder and wp-config.php & root .htaccess files – from a fresh download of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones.

    I deactivated them and reactivated them one by one. They all reactivated fine but my site now looks normal so I have no idea what the problem really was but it’s fixed. Thanks ??
