When I want to select the featured posts myself manually by entering the post IDs into the area of this widget (Post IDs to display), it seems that only the first post that I enter is displayed, but the others are ignored?

I tried separating the post IDs with a comma and only with a space bar, but the result is the same – only the first post is displayed, the rest are ignored.

Am I doing something wrong? How to separate posts when I want to enter them manually, one by one? With a comma, space or in some other way?

However, if I leave the “Post IDs to display” field in the widget empty, I get random posts and they look fine. But I’d like to select my own featured posts…

    Thanks for the nice plugin.

  • Hi MasterBen,

Sounds like you are using short codes and what you need to do to display multiple posts is set the

    Post IDs: post_ids=”5,3,4″

    AND

    Number Posts: number_posts=”5″

If this is inside the widget, make sure to set the Post IDs (separated by commas) and set the number of posts to display

Please let me know if this resolves your issue. Thanks

    Hi,

Yes, this has resolved my issue – thanks!

I use the widget in the widget section and it seems I used the wrong syntax (I put spaces after commas). So instead of writing “5,3,4” I would write “5, 3, 4” (without quotes).

The way I put spaces is actually the standard in correct punctuation for most languages (you have to put a space after a comma), but I didn’t know that for this plugin/widget one must leave out all spaces.

Anyway, again – thanks for a nice plugin and for your help.

In the next release we’ll make it so that either way works MasterBeen. Thank you for your support. Please take a moment to rate our plugin
