When editing in block editor can not see highlighting

  • Hi,
    I am trying to learn the block editor since I have no choice if I want to use WordPress on into the future.

    When I go to highlight some text so I can delete or copy it, there is NO highlighting. I will run the cursor over the text with the right button held down, but NOTHING shows. I can delete or copy, but I am doing it blind.

    What is going on?
