When deploying GA via GTM, do I only activate GTM in Site Kit?

    Hi there,
    I previously had GA deployed on my site (directly, using GA code). I am going to start using GTM, so I was planning to deploy GA through GTM. As per normal practices for that (https://support.google.com/tagmanager/answer/6107124?hl=en).

    Today I’ve discovered Google Site Kit. I see it allows for activating GA and GTM (independently). What I would like to know is whether I only activate GTM module on Site Kit, when I am handling GA via GTM?

    Was not able to find any documentation or discussion around this.

    Currently, Site Kit does not detect the GA integration in Tag Manager, so you’ll need to choose whether you want to use Sit Kit’s Analytics snippet or Tag Manager for inserting the GA tracking code on your site.

    If you choose the GA/ Tag Manager integration, you can still configure Analytics to display your data in the dashboards from the settings. Navigate to Site Kit > Settings > Analytics > Edit, ensure that you remove Site Kit’s snippet, and configure the Account, Property, View for the data you’d like to display from your Analytics account.
