When Collapsing, Return to original point of Expand

Hi – this is a great and simple plugin to use. I just have a problem when the content I am trying to expand/collapse is quite long:

I use the setting to “Make buttons and links stick to the bottom of collapsed sections” since this allows a user to read through the content, and then close (or collapse) it at the end without having to scroll ALL the way back to the top. This makes for a good user experience.

However, when the expanded content is very long (which is my primary reason for using expand/collapse approach) and then I click the collapse button, it brings me to a location which is nowhere near the original point where I expanded. This becomes a user experience issue and negates the advantage of expand/collapse because the user now has to figure out where they have to go to resume reading.

Is it possible to make the plug-in go back to the original location of the expand button when clicking the collapse button? This would really be helpful.
