When can you disable the ‘Legacy Settings’ option?

    Hey, I’m just running a migration from 1.x to version 2.

    I have followed the steps in the migration guide, and just wondering if once it’s all working whether I need to disable the ‘Enable legacy access control based on capabilities’ checkbox?

    Ideally I’d want to install all the latest versions of the groups plugin, and not worry about any legacy things.

    Hi @lwcooper

    You can disable legacy access control once you’re done with migrating. Just to be on the safe side, make a full backup of your site and database as usual, then disable the legacy option and clear all caches and test your pages as a normal visitor, as an authorized user etc.
