When $alt parameter is specified in get_avatar(), image changes

When I call for
get_avatar($email), the image shown (if no gravatar is specified) is the default one chosen by me in WordPress settings. However if I call forget_avatar($email, 64, "gravatar"), the image becomes this one: https://www.gravatar.com/avatar/081060b3bc9f1a744f7405e738efc2b9?s=64&d=gravatar&r=GWhy?
