I recently installed All In One WP Security plugin which adds more rules to my .htaccess file, which is fine.

I want my website to be gzip compression enabled. So I added the code from here: https://howtounix.info/howto/Apache-gzip-compression-with-mod_deflate and it works. It even shows ‘GZIP compression enabled’ on testing sites like https://www.gziptest.com/ and https://varvy.com/tools/gzip/

But after enabling the AIO WP Security plugin it seems again to be turned off. One more thing to note is when I view .htaccess in my cPanel File Manager before using the plugin, it is normal. After enabling the plugin, the last 100-150 lines turn blue, which also contains my gzip enabling code.

How do I enable GZIP compression after activating the AIO WP Security plugin? Is my code placement wrong? Because the first 116 (somehow) are normal looking with red and black color. Please help me out.

    Thanks a ton in advance.
    Akshay
