I Inherited this shop and I can’t work this out!
My products are listed with prices including VAT. so say a product is €120 INC VAT
This works as expected on the store front. Product and shipping is all correct. However, when I add a manual order on the Admin/Woocommerce/orders page the price of the product is not the same.
There are different Tax rates for various countries.
    Prices are inclusive of Tax
Calculate tax is based on Customer shipping address.

I then tried to edit the item price in the order details field. Changed value for Cost. For some reason this then applies a discount to the ‘Total” field. In this example it shows a coupon for -1,61€. No idea why! The result is the end total amount is 1 cent off.

    [update]
If i use a plugin like “phone Orders” it works as expected.

  • Hi @gr1f

    Thanks for reaching out!

I understand that when you are creating a manual order on your site, the product price is not the same as expected.

I replicated the scenario on my personal site running on the default Storefront theme, however, I am unable to reproduce the issue on my end.

Here’s the product I will try to create a manual order for testing:

    Here’s the manual order created:

After inputting the customer’s details and clicking the Recalculate button, the tax rate appeared in a separate column:

For us to investigate your issue further, please share with us a screenshot of the following:

    • Manual Order
    • General Settings (WooCommerce > Settings > General)
    • Tax Settings (WooCommerce > Settings > Tax)
    • Tax Classes (Standard Rate, etc)

If you don’t already have a screenshot service installed, you can try https://snipboard.io. You can share the direct link to the image as a response to this topic.

Additionally, I’d like to understand your site properly, please share your System Status Report that you can find via WooCommerce > Status. Select Get system report and then Copy for support. Once you’ve done that, you can paste it into your reply here.

If you could also provide the fatal error logs (if any) under WooCommerce > Status > Logs.

You could copy and paste your reply here or paste it via https://gist.github.com/ and send the link here.

    Thanks!

Hi, Sorry I missed your follow-up!

OK I think I see the issue. It’s with shipping. If I add an order manually I also have to add shipping. However, It does not calculate this automatically it seems…

It seems it won’t even calculate the Tax on the shipping either.

    Thanks for your help!

    Mark

    Hi,

It seems it won’t even calculate the Tax on the shipping either.

Can you navigate to WooCommerce > settings > tax > standard rates? You will see the rates, as well as the one that are including the shipping. Please tick the checkmark whether the tax rate needs to be applied to shipping.

Let us know if that makes a difference.
