Whatsapp Share link not works

Are you testing this on a mobile device? The WhatsApp service would only work on mobile devices.

If you are testing on a mobile device, can you let us know what error you’re seeing?

Yes i tested on my mobile and also tested on my friends mobile. I always get error message…

“Webpage not available”

The webpage at whatsapp://send?text=_____________.Whatsapp

could not be loaded because :-

net::ERR_UNKNOWN_URL-SCHEME

Always getting this error. I found that Whatsapp sharing link not works. I think in every sharing whatsapp url getting error because in every url you use .whatsapp in last. That make every link to unable to find the path. that creates “Webpage Not Available”

please test yourself to find. What is my problem… please fix this bug.. Thanks..

Could you send us the URL of your site so that we can try to reproduce this? If you can also let us know what mobile device and browser you’re using, that would also help.

I just tried sharing to WhatsApp from the AddThis blog (https://www.addthis.com/blog) and it seemed to work as expected.

I also test your link https://www.addthis.com/blog but not works in my mobile. I think its my mobile fault, Thanks…

I use Android Mobile Default Browser. I am from India. I found your other share button like facebook, twitter, pinrest they works very fine in my mobile browser. But the problem is only Whatsapp Sharing Button not works. So you think it is my mobile problem so what to do? Thanks for your reply.

It sounds like the device you’re using may be an older device or the browser isn’t able to handle the whatsapp:// protocol. I’d suggest trying Google Chrome.

In my Mobile Operating System is Android 5.0 Lollipop. Is it old version for Whatsapp Sharing? OK I Will try on Google Chrome Browser. Thanks for reply…
