What’s with the new update message?

    As a plugin on the WordPress plugin repo, shouldn’t this be auto-updating anyway? Why the annoying message, “Important: Please configure the Automatic Updates Settings in MonsterInsights”?

    Hi there,
    No, plugins hosted in the WordPress repository are not automatically updated. You will get a notice on the WordPress plugin screen that updates are available, but you must manually update them. The option in MonsterInsights allows the plugin to automatically install available updates or not depending on your setting.

    Then I think that should be communicated more, because many people would call those automatic updates comparing them to manually re-uploading new files via FTP.
