What's the difference in these editing methods?

  • What is the difference in using Simple Hooks, Simple Edits, JetPack CSS Editor, the native WP editor or the new WP Editor plugin? Are they all shortcuts to manually editing the style.css or functions.php files?

    I’m trying to avoid scattering my editing methods so that I can more cleanly transfer the site management to a client. Thanks.
