• I’ve already established the fact that I’m a moron when it comes to WP, so one more dumb question won’t hurt…
What’s the difference between “posts” and “posts paged” in Options/Reading/Show the most recent…?

  • Heh… that’s actually a good question. I was kind of wondering that myself.
And, since we’re sitting here admitting we’re dorks, ~_^ what’s the difference between a URI and a URL (besides the last letter standing for Indicator and Locator)? LOL.

Posts paged allows posts to be paged and navigated with posts_nav_link() and friends.
This distinction will be gone in 1.3. Having posts paged and posts is confusing and unnecessary. If you get a nightly, notice that “posts paged” is no more.

If you get the nightly and use the plugin – what was it’s name? – something like… anyway, the page navigation from GaMerZ, you’ll have to tweak it to get it working again with the CVS update.
