The best is the one, that fits best to your person and what you writing about.
Kubrick is a damn nice one.

BTW: Mine is the worlds most beautiful ??

Ehm… My template is the best ??
Though saying that ‘most WP blogs use Kubrick,’, is perhaps saying a bit much.

“What’s the best template out there ?”
    The one YOU like.
It’s as simple, and as subjective, as that.

I felt like it was my duty to chime in. Templates are fine and all, but where is the originality? I for one don’t like the clones out there. Oh wow, another one of THOSE blogs. Hmm, ho hum. Granted I don’t believe mine is the best design, but I’m workin on it. And from scratch!

Well so far we have not been comparing like with like. At one end of the spectrum I would put CSS / images only themes which operate with the WP default. In the middle might be placed templates with adapted index files with or without style sheet. At the far end would come themes, sometimes with separated files and plugins. None is best – they just serve the needs of different communities.

I’m sorry guys but the best template is obviously mine (I even wonder why on earth this king of question can even exist).
You just had to ask, this is that easy, the answer is : mine.

Personally, my vote goes to the those who make their own designs and do not use a basic layout such as Kubrick.
Originality and individuality are always the most interesting.
But that is just my opinion ??

I just cleaned mine up after the move from MT.
    I’m partial to it!

    My personal favorite is Dots.
    It works well.
Only downside, difficult to put a footer in there!

Sure, its nice to have his own custom design + HTML + CSS code. But thats not the point. I would rather visit more often an blog with kubrik and usefull content as a stylish design and nothing on it.
Sometimes it would be more usefull to put the mos o the time of designing in writing hot content.

Out of curiousity, can design templates also affect the way comments look/are handled? I have a blog at https://sincity.typepad.com, which I’m trying to transition over to my own domain, but I really like the look and feel of the MT blog, and am wondering if anyone knows of WP options that would let me create something similar.
