What's group id

It’s not a stupid question.

In buddy press when you go to the administration in “Users” you can setup many profiles for users.

In buddy press each profile is identified by a group id if you try to edit them like this url (the last number id) :
https://mywebsite.com/members/admin/profile/edit/group/1/
or
https://mywebsite.com/members/admin/profile/edit/group/3/

So the group id is just to setup the redirect url.
