• Hi there,

I’m wondering whether anybody knows if there is a way to find out what wordpress accounts, logins, usernames, pages etc are registered against a particular e-mail address.

The reason I ask is that I’ve been a member of wordpress for a number of years, but it has only been in the last week or so that I’ve been able to decide on my page name and get a website up and running. However, I know, I’m sure that on another blog of mine I’ve saved a load of posts which haven’t been published and I would like to get access to them but I just can’t remember where they are.

Any chance someone out there is a genius and could lend a hand?

  • Ok but if I’m posting and commenting on blogs I would think it would make sense (to me anyway) that I want to be consistently the same person. i.e. if I posted on your blog and then went and posted on another unrelated blog. and then a third blog

all as myself which I want to do to be a part of community but as myself not as an admin. Public facing.

I get that as an admin there really isn’t a need to be all that consistent. But for potential clients/ friends/ whoever would be open to chatting I would like to be one person.

Thoughts on doing that? Would I pick one profile and always post from that? And if so would that be better to be a .com profile or a .org.

I’ve already left .com and redirected over to my .org site. But if there is benefit to using a .com profile I’ll use it.

I’m also cool with having different profiles and passwords for different sites that I need to access however that would be more on the admin side.

Then comment using an email address that is associated with your gravatar account and whatever nickname you prefer and/or use on your own site. For example, I tend to use the same username & gravatar when posting comments on other WP blogs. That’s one way of developing your own persona.

if there is benefit to using a .com profile I’ll use it.

Outside of the wordpress.com network, there’s no real benefit to using a .com profile. I think the issue here is that you’re perhaps confusing accounts & logins with persona. I see the two as very different but mutually co-existing.

roflmao oh your right about me “perhaps” confusing accounts and logins.

I need to go forth and play a little with the information you have provided me today. I really appreciate the clarity that you have provided.

No problem. Enjoy your playtime. ??
