• Hi, You have a lot of 5 star reviews, so I am sure you have a great solution. Can you provide the highlights of why I would want to use your plugin versus just inserting the needed code in the header of my site to make GTM work?

    Thanks!

    Hi @mikeallen7,

This plugin is way more than just adding the GTM container code into your site. If you need only the container code, than GTM4WP is simply overkill for you.

Next to the container code, this plugin can add lots of data layer variables to create a more robust and advanced measurement without the need to code. For example if you are running a WooCommece webshop, you can get a full enhanced ecommerce measurement in GA without extra coding.

Thanks for the reply, Tomi. I am obviously new to all this. To help me visualize what are saying, I have an online course site. I have my blog posts and courses are tagged using a custom taxonomy.

I am interpreting this to mean that I could push my custom taxonomy into analytics (for example) to enable me to see an analytics report showing which posts and entry points resulted in a sale of which type of online course on my site?

    Did I understand this correctly?

Also, if I used SiteKit to implement GTM, then would I need to remove GTM from SiteKit before re-implementing it with your plugin? Or, can I just add your plugin on top of the SiteKit implementation?

    Thanks!
