What user data will be shared with WeGlot, Google etc?

    Hi Team,

    While using the Free plugin, what user data (Including Ip address, other data’s) will be shared with WeGlot, Google and/or any other 3rd party api/service used?
    Asking for GDPR Compliance info.

    And, what settings can be configured to limit them or stop sharing them completely?
    (I already checked the WeGlot site Privacy policy which says you are GDPR compliant, but I believe that is for the website translation. Kindly confirm for the Plugin service compliance)

    As I mentioned already, that page and the privacy policy talks about the IP address being collected when someone logs in to the website login.weglot.com
    But nothing about the plugin.
    When a user uses any site with the plugin it will send request to translate I believe to WeGlot and if then it will share the IP address of the user even if he is not logging in to the login.weglot.com portal. So how is that taken care?

    And what other 3rd party API’s are used to provide the service. As if any other API there that would again share user detail.

    So can you check and confirm what user data’s will be shared when a visitor visits a website enabled with this plugin?

    Hi @leofficial ,

    in fact we don’t share any user IP cause all API call are made by the server not by the user

    @glx77 Okay. I believe I misunderstood then. Sorry for the confusion.

    Just to confirm, Is the translation a one time process (Unless there is any new page or change) which will be loaded in the website under respective language section and when visitors open the website, visitors are redirected to the respective language page based on their browser language setup with the help of the plugin and there will be no interaction between the WeGlot and the visitors otherwise?

    Hi @leofficial , yes that’s it. but to be redirect to respective language page based on their browser language, you have to active the autoredirect option on our weglot plugin
