I am a bit lost about this.

What exactly triggers the publication on fediverse?

I know that publishing a post on wordpress also publish in the fediverse, but:

    • I have a post that I have removed (sent to trash), and it was removed from fediverse also. Now I cannot find a way to publish it again
    • If I modify a post, does it modifies on fediverse? or should I make something additional to trigger the modification?

I cannot use wp-cli commands cause they always throw a critical error.

The plugin is triggered by every state change of a post and tries to reflect that to a fediverse activity. So if you delete a post, it will send a Delete and id you update a post, it sends an Update.

That is not working for me. How can I check what is happening?

What exactly does not work for you?

Sorry, I will try to clarify:

    • Modifying a post modifies it on fediverse
    • Restoring a deleted post does not make it appears again on fediverse, even if I modify the post, change to draft and republish.
    • Modifying an event doesn’t modified it on the fediverse
    • Move to trash an event deletes it from fediverse. Restoring it does not recover it to the fediverse.

That is a problem how Mastodon/the fediverse handles a Delete. A Delete is irrevocable on most of the federated platforms. So if you put a post into the trash, it can’t be republished on the fediverse. You would have to publish the post again, under a new ID, to work around that.

If you want to “unpublish” a post for a while, I would recommend to change it to “draft”. This way the federated post will be updated with a placeholder “(This post is being modified)” and replaced with the updated text if you re-publish it or removed if you decide to delete it.
