• Hi, I’m running 1.5 and working on customizing my popup comments template. I edited the stuff between the title tags to change the titlebar to read something other than the default, but something keeps putting the URL of my website in the title bar so that it precedes what I want it to say. And it’s not even the URL of the directory I’m running wordpress from, it’s the plain domain name, no subdirectory or anything. Does anyone know the file I need to edit to get the comments popup file to quit automatically displaying that url? Thanks in advance. ??

  • Give us some more info… What exactly do you have in between the <title> tags in the comments-popup.php file?

    <title>comments :: miscreation.org</title> – that’s exactly what I have in the file. However, it displays https://www.miscreation.org - comments :: miscreation.org even though I have wordpress installed in a subdirectory.

    I see what you mean. However, it seems to be something built-in in FF, because when I checked with IE it displays exactly as you’d like…

    I’m using IE, though. *scratches head*

    *double checks*

    *triple checks*

    Yeah, I’m not seeing it. ?? Do you know if it might have anything to do with some obscure setting on my IE options?

    Totally clueless… ??
    and, sorry, I should have mentioned that IE in my case means the dinosaur IE5.5

    Hi there,
    I am unable to locate comments-popup.php, which is confusing as hell. I know I’ve seen it before, and it wasn’t particularly buried. What directory is it supposed to be in?

    I’ve having the same problem. where the blog url precedes the blog name and post title.

    I tried copying the wordpress default comments-popup.php but it’s not working!

    Back to normal comments?

    Hmmm.. just realized it’s only problematic in Firefox. The titles appear fine in IE.
