What to do after icons disappear?

No Icons are shown after updating to WordPress 5.8
If you’ve updated to WordPress 5.8 and you’re trying to edit the Social Icons Widget (legacy) or any other widget from a widget area in which you also have this widget, then all the icons will disappear. That’s why we recommend first transforming the widget to the block or making sure to edit widgets using the Customizer.

I believe this has happened to me after I deactivated a different widget in the same widget area using the classic widget plugin. After the icons disappear, is there any way to bring them back?
