• Hi. I’ve just been trying to improve my FB tracking. I was told about Pixel Caffeine and set it up yesterday.

I particularly want to have a Lead standard event tracking people who hit the ‘thank you for signing up’ page. I’ve set it up in Pixel Caffeine and everything there looks like it’s correctly set up. But a couple of things worry me and lead me to think I haven’t got it set up correctly.

    1) when I look at the source code for my page the code for the lead event isn’t there. I can see some code but it doesn’t include the code listed in Caffeine for the lead event.

Pixel Helper shows PageView, General Event and Microdata Automatically Detected. So is the Lead event actually tracked? How would I know?

    2) When I go into my Facebook manager’s Pixel section, there’s no Lead event listed. I thought it would be listed even if there were no hits to show. Other events like shop-related ones show, even with no hits.

When researching it I came across this topic which seems to suggest I won’t be able to see events created in Caffeine in Facebook, which doesn’t seem useful.

So I’m not sure whether there’s something wrong or I’ve just misunderstood what I should be seeing.

I’ve checked there are no ad blockers working and the pixel ID is correct. There’s no point in me disabling other plugins until I know what I should be seeing.

As for versions I installed Caffeine yesterday and my WordPress is the latest.

    Hi,

the Lead event is not managed by Pixel Caffeine automatically, but you can create a specific one from “Conversions/Events” tab of pixel caffeine, triggered on page_visit, or click into a link or element identified by CSS selector.

Also, that code you posted is of another plugin, it seems PixelYourSite specifically, it’s not from Pixel Caffeine.

@antoscarface – so when this “specific one from “Conversions/Events” tab of pixel caffeine” where do we find the data? Ie if I want to track how many pixel fires have occurred with this event? In Pixel caffeine or in Facebook business manager?

For example – I’ve created this event in Pixel Caffeine

    https://monosnap.com/direct/pJ3cFHgcQZXql5UuHhxnhuD66M5UBZ

Where do I see how many times it’s fired? If it’s not pushed to Facebook then what’s the point of creating it?

I’ve got the same question. I’m not at all clear on what the purpose is of setting up the conversion/event tracking in Pixel Caffeine.

It seems like I have to set up a conversion tracking (for example for View Content) separately in both Caffeine Pixel and in Facebook Events Manager.

What’s the point of doing that in both places? If Pixel Caffeine isn’t synching the Conversion to Facebook Events Manager, then where’s the reporting for conversions within Pixel Caffeine?

    Hi guys,

sorry for the big delay on my response, I’ll try to get an answer to your doubt now.

The “Conversions/Events” is usefull for you just to track custom facebook pixel events from your website for specific triggers, for example when a user visits a page, or click into a specific link or specific element. The pixel event you create there will be sent to facebook surely and it will be useful in order to create custom audience in an advanced way, also referring to the custom events you create from this “Conversions/Events” page.

This is a little bit different from the Custom Conversions page of facebook, because there you can simply track a specific event for a page visit, giving only a name and a value for the parameter value of pixel.

Just to be clear once more, the events you create in “Conversions/Events” page are sent as pixel to Facebook and you can retrieving them when create the custom audience, this is the usage.

Finally, you can also see how many fires have a custom pixel event you create, from your Facebook Ad Account page.

I hope everything is more clear now ??
