What plugin think is best for Custom Fields? WP-Types Vs AdvancedCF vs PODS

As for resources, they are all database-based, so you may want to consider the structures of your content types and fields when you decide what you are going to use. Pods is heavily optimized for object caching, but that means that it can end up taking more memory. While other solutions may take less memory and hit the database more often for data.

Pods 2.4 does improve performance and reduce memory footprint dramatically though, so that’s something to note if you’re wary of your big configuration pushing the limits of a shared host.

In the text there are 2 sections that catch my attention and PODS says “YES”

1. “Extend WP content types with a table for custom fields

2.-Custom Tables (tables as content types)

What does that mean? is good?

1. You can add custom fields to Post Types, Taxonomies, Media, Users, and Comments in WordPress, with Pods
2. You can create custom tables and use them with a similar editor interface like a Post Type would have (see Posts > Add New), so the data is stored in their own tables, per content type

Your plugin (which I think is excellent) is free. As I can know that the project will continue with the passing of the years and when it arises WP-4 will continue being updated and I continue to use my information in future releases.

Yes, Pods is free and supported by a number of developers on our team and our community of users/devs who use it. There is no plan to stop development of the plugin, we will continue to update it for every WordPress release and between.
