What plugin do you recommend to paste javascript in about page?

I want to paste javascript code in the about page. Can you please advise what plugin to use (text editor)? Also how can this be done without a plugin? I want to use functions.php but maybe this can be messy down the road? I haven’t tried it yet so not sure if it works. Thanks, BJ
