What language can be used for batch file or bash script highlighting

EnlighterJS supports bash/shell and powershell natively – i’m using shell/bash heavily for internal documentation etc – what’s your issue with the support files ? – are you able to provide an example to see what’s going on ?

I should actually modify my question, it is not the bash script highlighting that doesn’t work for me. I have just tested it and it does work.

It is the batch file (Windows batch file that contains Windows commands) highlighting that doesn’t work for me. I couldn’t find any language from Enlighter that can effectively highlight batch file. PowerShell is not really working properly for batch files.

Sorry I haven’t got a accessible example for you to check, my webservers are all internal only. I could show you a screenshot if the forum allows me to upload one but it doesn’t appear so.

the short answer: legacy windows bat/batch files are not supported natively

feature request / contributions are welcome since i didn’t have the time/resources to implement every language/script support on my own.

i’ve added basic bat/batch/cmd file support to the master branch – but since the “Language” is a absolute mess (sry..) only some basic elements are supported
