  • No – not all themes support custom menus. Have you tried activating the Twenty Eleven theme?

    oh I see. thanks a million. I’m making my own custom theme so that makes total sense. I’m just glad my install isn’t buggy. hmm. Well I’m just hardcoding in page menu’s now hopefull hard coding in category menu’s is just as easy.. Is the menu generator something I can activate in the functions.php easily? thanks again.

    You should be able to add custom menu support to your theme. See Navigation_Menus.
