What is theme slug?

    Okay, this may be stupid question, but I would be glad if somebody would explain me what is theme slug? Is it some kind of unique string which is used in all function-names and such? I’ve tried to google it but since english isn’t my native language I’m not sure if I’ve really understood it right. So please, could someone explain it to me like I’m completely retarded?

    Yes. It’s based on the theme’s name. So Twenty Eleven uses twentyeleven_foo() for its function names etc. It reduces the possibility of function name conflicts with plugins.
