What is the purpose of the option name hack_file in the options table?

    I was looking at the options table in a WordPress install and noticed an option name hack_file.
    I couldn’t find much information regarding it. What is it and its purpose?

    my hosting provider scan entire website but he did not found any problem. Please tell me what is actual meaning about hack_file .
