What is "The Pool"

    I want to exclude a post so that it is not listed the in the related posts, but do not know how or what to change> I’ve read many forum posts, and it seems that I have to add the page id into something called “the pool” but I don’t really know what that is.

    I’ve also seen some code here

    related_posts (array ('exclude' => array (1,2,3,4,5)));

    but do not know if it’s what I need or where to add it. The post ID I want to exclude is 1298. Thanks for any help, either with the code or the pool.

  • The easy thing to do is to choose a particular tag or category and add it to that post.

    Then, go to YARPP settings, go to “screen options” and show the “The Pool” options. Then you can make it so posts in that particular tag/category do not get picked up as related.
