Hello ??
I’m more ambitious than I had the time for. So, we’re left with a few open ends.
This means that, for example, the SEO Bar and the pixel counter aren’t aligned yet; the SEO Bar follows the character guidelines. For more information, see: https://github.com/sybrew/the-seo-framework/issues/204
Sidenote:
Note that the description lengths are they’re very irregular over time and even per device. Please see this: https://github.com/sybrew/the-seo-framework/issues/318
As these irregularities in descriptions don’t directly affect ranking, I have not released a minor patch adjusting for this. But for now, you should follow the 150~160 character guideline for descriptions for most pages. Popular pages can follow the new guideline (up to ~300 characters). The title guidelines in the plugin are still OK.
Back on topic:
Furthermore, you shouldn’t aim for an all green SEO Bar. They’re guidelines, not gamifications, that got thrown aside thanks to Google’s erratic changes in description-lengths in the past few months.
Because of that, here’s how the bars on theseoframework.com look:

Now, I’m cleaning all this up in the next update(s). In fact, the bar will be much more forgiving in the future, as I see people using it as a holy grail. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find the time to do this any sooner; this is still free software and bills need to be paid.
I expect to be releasing the first lot of improvements in a month or two. Please hold on tight while utilizing the new sidenote’s knowledge ??
I hope this clears things up!
