What is the HTML to produce this table layout?

Instead of fiddling around with coding tables, why don’t you just use a table generating plugin. I would suggest TablePress, TinyMCE Advanced, or Shortcodes Ultimate.

I would be sure that your html is likely to be correct. What you need to do to control the presentation is to code the CSS to set your cell heights and widths, border style, text formatting etc. Is this correct? Are you asking for help with the css ?
