What is the best forum plugin?

    I am looking for a forum plugin that will run in WordPress. I looked at Vanilla, but if I use that, I will have to install it separately since I don’t want to use their rather pricey cloud option. I’ve used phpBB as a separate install, but I’m not a huge fan. Any suggestions?
