I read the discussion in the reviews section about this plugin and the threads, but still don’t understand what the “seeks” demand actually does. I’m using this plugin on a Chicago law firm website where competition is extremely high and small mistakes will get you bumped, so I need to be sure of what this does before turning on the “seeks”. So here are my questions:

    – Does it make any difference how relevant the site i’m linking to is to my site? It asks for “name” “url” and “description” so I’m guessing there has to be more to it than simply “setting seeks to a website that is growing through SEO.”

    – What does the crawler assume about my affiliation with another website when they see the seeks demand? What is the purpose of it from the perspective of a search engine?

Seeks sets a demand for something.

The value for seeks is setting microdata for the search engines to relate to. It should not be the same as what your website is about.

Im a bit new to Seeks and online docs are slim.
If others could share how they use Seeks, it would greatly assist me in learning how to set this.

This is a guess but I think I’m right after doing a bit more research.

The “seeks” name seems to me that is one thing you want to push out either or product or service.

For example, if you are doing a law firm that specializes in one thing you could use the seeks field to say “head injury lawyer” or “spinal injury lawyer” and then put the appropriate URL (your website).

Maybe the author can clarify or add to this conversation.

Can you use your Yelp listing info as a ‘seeks’?
