What is proper format for Ban User Agent?

If I want to use the ban user agent, what is the proper format?

As an example, I want to ban:
Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1; SV1)

If I paste in as is it will cause a 500 error, correct?
