I posted this question along with another issue now resolved. That’s why I’m reposting this question.

I used a different Static page in my old blog. Now I wish to use the new Static page option at ver 2.3.3. But, I don’t understand the concept of the new “A static page” option at Options/Reading. The purpose of Front Page is obvious but what’s the purpose of “Posts page”?

  • Since your “static frontpage” will NOT display your posts as WP does in a default install… you need to assign another (already existing Page) as the place where your posts will be shown.

    Thanks Moshu.
My current setup doesn’t reflect the intended 2.3.3 behaviour nor mine. I installed 2.3.3 in my windows machine in order to figure it out. Well the reason is that I made WP to resemble a CMS enviroment.
Grrr! Back to the drawing board.
