What is difference between WordPress 2.0.4 and WordPress 2.1?

    What is the difference between WordPress 2.0.4 and WordPress 2.1? I understand that we will soon see the unveiling of both, but why are both being unveiled? Why are we not just seeing 2.1 unveiled?

    Am I missing something? Can someone explain?

  • 2.0.4 is a bugfix and I believe 2.1 will come out a bit later. It’s also quite a bit of a change from the 2.0.x line (not v1.5.x vs. 2.x, but still contains some significant changes that some may not want/like/etc.).

    Or at least that’s my impression.
