    Hi,

First, thanks a lot for your work and the free version of this plugin.

I wanted to understand what you mean by “visitor” in order to compare your “visitors” with the “Users” in GA4 for example.

For how long do you count a same visitor? 24 hours like Plausible? Or more?

    Thanks a lot

    Hi @bastien31,

A new visitor ID is created, when a user does not have an existing cookie.

The cookie is set for 30 days by default. If a user deletes the cookie, that time can differ. We think that is the best way so the user has control over their privacy.

In the Dashboard we also exclude the bounced visitors from the total visitors. So ‘Visitors’ = ‘Total visitors’ – ‘Bounced visitors’. This is the same for sessions and pageviews. I think we will change this in the future, where you will be able to decide for your own if you want to exclude or include bounces.

I hope this answers your question!

    Kind regards,
    Hessel
