What is a "term object"?

    which describes get_the_terms(), it is specified that it will return a “array of term objects” on success.

    What does a term object look like? Is that defined anywhere? I’d like to manipualet is, but I sure can’t do that if the data format it returned isn’t defined anywhere…

    Sure would be nice if things like this were linked-to in the codex somehow in a more obvious way.
