What is a lightbox?

    Hey. I recently started doing sites and I do not know much yet.
    I wanted to ask what a lightbox is and why it is needed?
    What function does it perform in this gallery?

    In our gallery, for now we have only one light box – it’s popup which you can see when you click on gallery thumbnails. For now lightbox of the gallery have different functionality you can find settings of the gallery lightbox where you can configure slideshow mode, carousel of the thumbnails for preview, full screen mode.
    In future gallery releases we have plans to implement much more interesting options.
