    After nearly one month and around 30 abandoned carts i finally got my first order for the first time on my first ecommerce shop, i was so happy ! then I just realized this order, payed with Paypal, is in “Cancelled” status…

    I know actually what a cancelled order is, i read the doc here https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/managing-orders/ saying “Cancelled – Cancelled by an admin or the customer – no further action required (Cancelled orders do not reduce stock by default)”.

    Ok, I got it… but how this can happen it cancelled by the customer ? i mean how the customer can pay and finally cancel ? paiement issue or is there a “cancel” order button in paypal ? frankly i never used paypal myself, just made a sandbox test before live, it worked… this is the only one time in my life i “paid” something with paypal. How to check what happenned ? I read too that there is an issue regarding inventory timeout that can cause this even if the payment is ok. How can i check if my order is really ok or not then ?

    Hi @laurent75,

    Cancelled orders happen when WooCommerce fails to get an incoming “Payment completed” signal from PayPal within a stipulated period of time. Can you also confirm if you have a valid PayPal account and setup PayPal as per this guide

    Is it possible to get a system status of your WooCommerce store as that would throw some light on the potential causes of this behavior?

    I confirm that I have a valid Paypal account. I know everything is ok with this because I tried to buy something to myself (not in sandbox mode) and it worked.

    It looks like the problem were coming from the “enable stock management” option in woocommerce producs inventory settings. After disabling this option paypal worked and i was able to buy something. Before this i tried with this option enabled and i put 1 minuts (it was 200 minuts before) and i had this “cancelled” status. So i guess everything if fine now since i don’t manage stocks through woocommerce i guess I don’t need this option. Now i’m just sad i lost my first customer because of this and i maybe have to way for 30 more customers to get a new order and i just hope this customer is not waiting for his product and realized there was a problem with his order…
