I did some work on my site yesterday, mainly connecting it to FB and Twitter. I then added a couple of posts just to check and make sure everything was working fine.
After everything was done, I went back to my website, and all of a sudden, none of the links work!
The home page works perfectly fine. But any link you go to gives a page not found error? I’ve tried disabling all my plugins–no deal, and I reinstalled wordpress and still no deal.
I have weekly backups I’ve been doing through WordPress Database Backup, and I haven’t tried restoring one of those yet, cause I didn’t know if I needed to lose the changes I made the other day. I can’t say for sure whether the issue started yesterday when I made changes or before that though.
I’d appreciate any help. Right now I’m totally confused.
    My website is bonikowsky.org.
    Thanks
    david

  • Try resetting your custom permalinks back to the default setting. If this works, then review Using_Permalinks before setting a custom permalink structure back up again.

thanks a bunch. I don’t understand why it got messed up all of a sudden like that… I switched the permalink setup to month and name a few months ago and it always worked fine.
Now after changing to default and then back to month and name everything works again.

Works for me bro. You figure it out?

EDIT – should of refreshed before posting.

Sometimes a server hiccups and mangles the .htaccess file. Resetting the permalinks normally straightens this out again.
