What if i add a new post?

Unfortunately, at present, you’ll need to generate the whole website again. I realize that’s not very convenient, and we are planning to add a feature where you can generate URLs piecemeal or have Simply Static automatically listen for updates to the WP site and re-generate things accordingly.

Yes that will be perfect for this plugin because generating whole website takes huge time for larger website and not convenient . If plugin can make auto update when a new post is created or existing post edited then it will be very helpfull .

I also found search feature is missing as this is much needed feature.
It will b awesome If you can add google custom search or something that can provide search result to users.

One more if it also can create sitemap.xml file for search engines.

Thanks for the suggestions! There’s presently an issue with adding google custom search, we’re planning to take a look into fixing that.

Also, you should be able to add a sitemap.xml to your static files, though you may need to specify it manually. As far as generating a sitemap.xml, you’re probably better off looking at other plugins that specialize in that kind of thing. Yoast SEO is one option, though there are a large number of other plugins that would work too.

Thanks for considering my request .This is the only working plugin for this specific task and you are doing a great job.
I also have one more feature request/suggestion use ftp/sftp to upload files to another server.

Can you give an update on where you guys stand with the feature to have Simply Static listen for updates or generate piecemeal URLs? I would really love to see this feature added!

Hi Xi80r6,

This is one of the next major features on the roadmap. That being said, I’m going to be fairly preoccupied with other non-simply-static related work for the next couple months, so I wouldn’t expect to see it being available before September.
