    Good Day

I have a recipe site in Afrikaans an South African language.

When I generate a print the headings are in place and it look great. When I print it to PDF it becomes a different story. All my headings fall away and a picture appears that has nothing to do with the first recipe.

    This is the generated print:

This is the printed Pdf report:

Might it be something I do wrong when I generte the report?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

First off, thanks for much for letting me know what you’re struggling with @liplekker! (The plugin thrives on feedback!) And wow, that’s a LOT of recipes. You’ve been busy!

And that sounds like a strange problem.

    1. And FYI it looks like some of your message didn’t come through. You mentioned “this is the generated print” and “This is the printed PDF report” but there’s nothing behind them. I suspect that was helpful info you had there! Could you try again providing a link to those files?

    2. I think your page has some Javascript that’s placing an advertisement on the page, and it’s even making it onto the printout. (Maybe that’s the picture that’s appearing “that has nothing to do with the first recipe”?) What plugin is adding that? I see in the code its acronym is “wpcnt”. I’ll add some custom CSS to the plugin that will remove it for you, and anyone else using that plugin.

    3. What browser are you using to generate the PDF?

Hopefully we can get it working much better for you soon!

    Good Day Michael.

    1. This is the report after it had been generated. What I did is to take out the pictures:
    Generated Print
You will see the recipe name is on the report “Gebottelde Noedelslaai.

    Printed

This shows a snippet of the printed report without the recipe name.

    2. This is the AdControl plugin that I use to place adds on the blog.

3.I use Chrome to generate the report. I have tried to run it on IE 11 but the problem there is that the FILTERS does not load.

    thank you for your support

That printout is being generated by a different plugin, I’m pretty sure Print Friendly. You’ll have more luck finding a solution to that on their support forums. I see that Print My Blog doesn’t have that particular problem.

As for the AdControl content, I’ve made some changes to the plugin in version 1.7.0 that should fix that. (Also, two new FAQs that show how to use CSS classes to hide content from printouts, or only show in printouts).

Please let me know if you have any further problems!

Thank you for all your help. It is appreciated. I deactivated the Print Friendly plugin and did a report again. Your plugin is working perfectly.

    ????
Awesome! I’m embarrassed that, in this case,Print My Blog is doing something better than the well-established Print Friendly plugin! (Not to mention it would take a few thousand clicks to print your blog with Print Friendly, whereas just a couple with Print My Blog??).
If you’d like to give back, please make the recommended donation (so far only 0.5% have) or leave a review (so far only 3% have) that would be a big help!
Either way, thanks for this feedback @liplekker.

Man, I really love the notification system here. ??

@mnelson4 Don’t put ?filter=5 on your review links. That hides the non-5 star reviews and that’s disingenuous. Asking for reviews is very cool. But leave that part out, I’ve removed the link.

Kk @jdembowski! Sorry about that. I suppose I was implying I’d prefer a 5 star review. Thanks for the explanation, and your time monitoring the forums.

It’s all good. The ratings default to 5 stars for all new reviews. A user would have to manually change it to give someone less than 5 stars.

Oh! I wasn’t aware of that. Thanks!
