• Hello, I have uploaded a font in 3 file types; woff2, woff, and tff. Which font file type will be loaded of the 3. Also, I’ve added the variable version of the font as the first font, and the static version as an alternative, will the variable one be prioritized?

The third question I have is about the italic version, there’s no slot for adding the italic version of the font and I can’t help but wonder what will happen when I want to italicize a word or sentence. For this, do I have to upload the italic version of the font as a separate font or what should I do? What does WordPress do when there’s no italic version of the font?

Hi @ranks, sorry for the delay.

The font file format is for browser compatibility purposes, as mentioned in the plugin’s description.

As for the italic version, please refer to this thread. Sorry, we haven’t had a chance to work on this.

    I hope it helps.

    Kind regards,
    Herman ??

What happens when you want to preload the font and you’ve uploaded “the font files in as many formats as possible…”? as mentioned in the plugin’s description.

And following some of your advice in this thread, “For italic, you need to add the font separately and upload the font file.”, what do you fill in the Font Fallback Field for the italic font? The same names as those in the regular font’s Font Fallback Field?

Hi @ranks, sorry for the delay.

This article might help you to preload the custom fonts.

As for the Font Fallback for the italic font, actually you can add any preferred font.

    I hope it will help.

    Kind regards,
    Herman ??
