I am not sure how far along the progress with Blocks is – that is, whether it can now be used on Catalog pages, single Product pages, Cart, and Checkout. I only use Blocks on ‘other’ pages – such as the home page to display a selection of products.
Thinking ahead, there will come a time, I guess, when everything switches to blocks – and I am wondering whether that will be a major headache for me as a store owner who built his own site?
How far off in the future is a fully WooCommerce Blocks only solution?
At this time, we only have Cart and Checkout blocks which are still under active development. For more information about our roadmap, you can read in the link below:

In the future, store owners using WooCommerce for the first time will have the Cart and Checkout blocks installed as part of our guided store setup experience. The current shortcode checkout flow will only be surfaced in the cases where they have selected extensions that we know are not integrated.
For established stores, we will continue to support the shortcode flow as we recognize that some have significant customizations that are working well for them.
So we plan to apply the Cart/ Checkout blocks to new stores only. You’ll still able to use your current configurations on your site.
How does full site editing fit into this picture?
The idea of blocks is to make sites more customizable. However, we’re also mindful of existing stores that might not want to introduce these changes to their sites. As mentioned above, blocks will likely be integrated to new sites and not existing sites.
