I just read the post on WooCommerce 4.4 Release Candidate in the WooCommerce WordPress site (https://woocommerce.wordpress.com/2020/08/04/woocommerce-4-4-release-candidate/) and I just asked a question there. I am asking it here also because I am not sure to whom best to address it. This is what I asked:

I have kind of got out of the loop with WooCommerce Blocks. I have had the plugin installed for a while and I use it to display specific ‘hand picked’ products on certain pages – such as the home page. I have not used it for the cart page, for example.

I just went to look at the improvements to the plugin that you mention here in your post, and I see it says “Use this plugin if you want access to the bleeding edge of available blocks for WooCommerce. However, stable blocks are bundled into WooCommerce, and can be added from the “WooCommerce” section in the block inserter.”

That leads me on to my questions, which are:
    1. Which are the ‘stable blocks’ that are built into WooCommerce now?

    2. Assuming that ‘hand-picked’ products are ‘stable blocks’ – what would happen to the hand picked product images on the homepage that I already set up, if I were to deactivate the WooCommerce Blocks plugin?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Which are the ‘stable blocks’ that are built into WooCommerce now?

    Those are listed here:

    https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/woocommerce-blocks/

(I realize the page is somewhat confusingly named “WooCommerce Blocks”, the same as this plugin.)

Assuming that ‘hand-picked’ products are ‘stable blocks’ – what would happen to the hand picked product images on the homepage that I already set up, if I were to deactivate the WooCommerce Blocks plugin?

They would simply use WooCommerce core’s hand-picked products block. That’s what happened just now when I tested this on my own site.

Let us know if there’s anything else we can help with! ??

Thank you. I tried it and it worked. All resolved.

Perhaps WooCommerce could look into creating a ‘see at a glance’ page showing what functions are stable and in WooCommerce and those that are only in the WooCommerce Blocks plugin, and move functions up out of one list and into the other as new versions appear. Just a thought.
