What happened to User Sync

Yes, this plugin has been discontinued as it was complicated and cause some issues. By the end of December, we will be adding “User Sync” features to the premium version of our “MC4WP” plugin.

Is there any way I could get a demo of the plugin while in development?
I kind of really need to kick it off on my websites, and while I know it might be not stable yet, I can take that risk.

I am also a professional software tester, maybe I could provide some input in certain case scenarios and this way help your team – just for the sheer possibility to have that demo ASAP ??

Of course, if that demo meets our needs in functionality we will go forward and buy the full version for 3 sites. Even if some of those functionalities might be at the start not fully available, I am well aware that software before official release might be buggy, no worries.

Just FYI, I will explain to you my case. I have 3 websites (and one more coming actually) for my friends business/brands. https://www.partyrobics.com , https://www.chairdanceexpress.com and https://www.bodyexpressive.com .
As you see, those are all fitness concepts/studio. Mixing various plugins, we give people possibility to signup and pay for several events and also to activate and use special member access for the certified instructors.

We do have mailchimp for newsletter, but it’s basic. Next to it, we require registration for events that is stored on a google sheet. I would like to move all this into one “user account” you might say, where one user has to register only once, and later on can just change their registration to add more info. E.g. when user signs to newsletter, I want the account to exist on wordpress so later, if they need to register to specific event, they just have to add more information. Same way, if they buy access to an event, as they create account for woocommerce i want them to have option to be added to newsletter automatically, and later use the same account for detaield registration.

Ah, hope that’s kind of clear. I also think that could be possible with fairly basic synchro between mailchimp and wordpress, the problem I foresee is that these are 3 sites, but i want to sync them to one mailchimp audience. And frankly, if it means that all three sites user base will be synchronised too – that is only better, as they belong to one family, it will give people feeling of continuity i believe.

Goodness me, you must be busy with new release ??

My whole message was trying to say, that I know it’s in the development, but maybe we can help each other ?? I would not install the plugin in the production version, I have a staging environment. And while being aware of limitations and bugs and potential problems, I think it would already give me an idea of whether this plugin will work in my case or not. In exchange, whether I would continue with plugin or not, I could report to you any issue I potentially find in the system to help you polish it before the release.

I would really appreciate if you bring it up to your team, as this could be really a win-win solution. On the other side, if this is truly not possible/welcome/wanted, could you at least quickly go through my description of what I expect and let me know if you foresee your plugin will meet my needs? Specifically:
1. Synching to one mailchimp audience from 3 different websites. How would that work? I imagine I would keep user creation and management on each wordpress site separately. If user changes his profile in one of the websites, the changes are propagated to mailchimp, and frm mailchimp propagated back to three other websites.
2. Synching custom fields – both mailchimp audience and each of the website will have custom fields created to store info I need, and I need thse info to be exchanged as in the scenario above.

I guess if you can inform me that this scenario is possible, or maybe you want to make it possible? I can wait for the release. As I am a new customer, forgive my distrust, but I do not know how reliable your releases are, I have been before waiting for a release coming “in a month” to only have notification 2 years later ??
