• Who decided to ruin this plugin? That person should be removed from the dev team because clearly they are intentionally sabotaging this plugin. I have been using this since it was called Better WP Security. I stuck with it for so many years while many others were raving about WordFence. iThemes Security was great; easy to use and effective. Now it is totally unusable and I am very disappointed that I need to find a new security plugin to install in all my sites.

What are the chances of you realizing that this was a grave mistake and reverting to the previous interface? I’ll be finding a new security plugin in the morning.

  • @graphicbob,

Sadly, we agree with you. We have posted numerous reports and suggestions to help improve their plugin, but all have been ignored.

If we had to guess, the burden of updating and fixing iThemes Security appears to rest with only one individual. He’s a genius, and knows well how to protect websites, but he’s probably overloaded at this point providing behind-the-scenes support for iThemes Security Pro customers.

In any case, have you tried either SG Security or Wordfence?

SG Security is fairly new, but well on its way to becoming a stellar security plugin. We used it for a while, but it’s still a bit buggy for us. Wordfence, on the other hand, is quite impressive. We installed it two days ago and, so far, ZERO issues.

    Hope this helps.

    Cheers!
