    Hi,

Have a simple question. What exactly does your plugin do?

Does it remove all the files or does it just rename files to extensions .old?

I find the way W3TC works a bit funny. Garbage collection seems to set files to .old and it’s priming which removes .old and creates a fresh page. Is that also your understanding?

In the same way, flushing seems to rename things to .old.

Does your plugin do that or removes files?

    Hello @superpoincare,

This plugin uses W3 Total Cache’s built in functions to flush certain cache objects related to and on different actions within the admin dashboard. It pretty much does the actions built in the Performance admin toolbar, but a little more refined and it also works when you’re not an (Super-)Admin.

Because it’s just an “activate and go” plugin I understand it can be quite confusing, but it does it’s job behind the screens ??

Depending on your situation, for instance, if you use Disk (Enhanced) cache, W3 Total Cache indeed changes the files to .old and removes the .old files when it has the chance or when it creates a new cache file.

If you’re using Virtual Server Cache, it will be flushed from the server memory. I myself use Memcached.

This plugin is idle when you don’t have W3 Total Cache installed, and this plugin doesn’t flush modules you haven’t activated.

I hope this clears things up! And I hope you too have a wonderful day ??
